BPM?

BPM: Stands for Beats Per Minute. BPM is typically used to measure music tempo and heart rates.

BPM in music reflects the tempo/pace of a song.

Music

Different genres of music will usually follow a general tempo:

Genre BPM
Hip Hop 85-95
Glitch Hop 105-115
Techno 120-125
House 115-130
Electro 128
Dubstep 140
Drum & Bass 174

Heart Rate

To measure your heart rate, press two fingers lightly against the side of the neck to feel your pulse.

Everytime you feel a pulse, press the spacebar or left-click.

Continue doing so until the number in the BPM box stabilizes.

This will give a rough estimate of your heart rate.

If you want a slightly more precise measurement, set a timer for 60 seconds and count the total number of pulses until the timer runs out.

That number counted in 60 seconds is your heart rate in BPM.

In general, the average person will have a resting heart rate between 60-100 BPM.

However, this range can vary depending on physical fitness, health conditions, gender and age.
